Ads manager

Block a losing placement, move a bid or pause a campaign inside the ad network, from the report that showed you the loss — and take it back.

The report tells you which placement lost money. The Ads manager lets you act on it in the ad network without leaving UTMCAP: block the zone, lower its bid, or pause the campaign.

It is under Tools → Ads manager, on the Growth, Pro and Scale plans.

#Pick a campaign

Choose the campaign at the top. The table below lists its placements with the same columns as the clicks log — clicks, cost, conversions, revenue, profit, ROI — over the date range you pick, so the numbers are the ones your reports already show.

A Copilot column marks each row it has an opinion on: block for one losing money, winner for one worth more budget, bots for one sending mostly filtered traffic. Each comes with the reason, in words. No mark means there is not yet enough data to say.

You can paste a list of placement ids into the search box to find several at once — the way a network's own report hands them to you.

#Choose what to act on

What a "placement" is depends on the network, and the screen uses the network's own word for it:

Network You can look at What you can change there
PropellerAds Zones Block, unblock, move the bid
Taboola Sites Block, unblock, move the bid
MGID Widgets Block, unblock, move the bid
Adsterra Placements Block, unblock, move the bid

TikTok Ad sets Nothing per row — see the campaign strip

A level with nothing to change still reports. "Mobile is losing money on this campaign" is worth knowing even when the fix is made in the network itself.

The placement id comes from the traffic source's template — whichever sub field the zone, site or widget macro fills — and the screen says which field it read, so you can compare it with the network's own dashboard.

#Press the button

Tick the rows and choose the action. Before anything is sent, the screen shows exactly what will change and in which network.

  • Block and unblock add the placement to the campaign's block list in the network, or take it off.
  • A bid moves by at most 20% in one press, up or down. The limit is the same one the Copilot works to, so a bid cannot be halved by a slip.
  • Up to 20 rows go in one press. A slip on "select all" stays a small one.

#The campaign strip

Above the table, the controls that act on the whole campaign rather than a row, where the network allows them:

  • Pause and start again.
  • The daily budget or cap, named the way the network names it.
  • What the network says the campaign is doing right now.

TikTok takes a budget change and a pause from here; its ad sets are changed in TikTok Ads Manager.

#Taking a change back

Every change goes the other way from the same screen: unblock a placement you blocked, move a bid back, or start a paused campaign again. Changes the Copilot made for you are listed under Copilot → Recent changes, where Undo reverses them.

#Before it works

  • An API connection to the network. The traffic source has to be connected under Sources → Integrations with a key or a sign-in that is allowed to change campaigns, not only read them.
  • The network switched on. Changes are switched on one network at a time, once each has been tried on a real account. A network that is not on yet shows its report, and the buttons explain why they do nothing.
  • Growth, Pro or Scale. On other plans the screen says so instead of showing controls that would refuse.
